In India we use daily 130/150
litres of water, 34.4 litres goes for flushing toilet. Surprisingly Lion share
of this goes to flush the toilet, and after that to take showers and bath. In
homes older toilet an average flush use is 13.6 litres and the use is 71.2
litres per person per day, with ultra low toilets with an average flush volume
of 6 litres , the daily use is 34.4 per person per day. A twenty minutes shower
uses 65.1 litres of water.
We drink hardly 2 litres of
water daily that is equal to 8 glasses. If we re-cycle and reuse for at least
ultra low we can save 34.4 litres
of water per day per person. & reusing this water
