Water treatment, loses and future shortage in Goa.


Goa state produces enough treated water to meet its requirements,  as much as 30% is lost before it reaches the consumer PWD Minister R. M. Dhavlikar says at a press meet.
The cause of the  lose is due to fragile pipelines, some of which have not been replaced for the past four decades.

Losses due to the above reasons are Rs 21 lack per day which amounts to Rs 76.7 crores per year he further says.

Moreover  Mhadai water diversion in Karnataka and increase in population will increase the shortage of water in future. Now it is the time to act.
