Cooling Tower Problems. Use Ecoclean 2300 for Descaling Sulphates.

Commercial  properties cooling Tower and chillers must work smoothly to keep these places cool & comfortable for the purpose of business. The water that circulates in cooling Tower has four major problems.

These are :-
1. Biological Contamination.
2. Fouling
3. Scalling.
4. Corrossion.

Biological Contamination.  As the place of Cooling Tower is always in a bright sunlight  naturally it is Hot  & Humid as a result growth of unwanted bacteria in water increases substantially. These bacterial growth is health hazard to the people and are worse for the efficiency of the cooling Tower.

Fouling can occur at different areas of your cooling tower system. The fill is one of the prime locations for fouling to occur. Fouling is the clogging of cooling surfaces or pipes with debris, dirt, and dust. When water cannot make it into and pass through the fill as designed, the air is not cooled properly. This means that the system has to work longer to achieve the same results. Which means it is using more electricity.
Scaling. The main objective of cooling Tower are to transfer heat from the chiller or from the particular area. The scaling build up of Minerals in the water  creates layers which minimises the efficiency. The scaling of calcium sulphates, Magnesium sulphates deposits on the surfaces. This scaling must be removed or operating cost will increase.    
Corrosion – Cooling towers and chillers that leak can many times be attributed to cooling systems that are ignored. This can be especially prevalent in cooling towers that use closed loop systems. When the air, sodium, and other chemicals that are found in our water supplies are left unchecked to run through a cooling tower system they eat away at the metal and will lead to leaks.
